In the Netherlands we actually put 2 shots in a Tall and Grande Hot cup and 3 shots in a Venti!
When I first starting working here I was always confused when international customers would ask for a double shot in their cappuccino haha

Same in the UK. We also use the same amount of shots in hot and cold drinks.

I wish that were the case in the U.S. I don’t think the ~American pallet~ generally appreciates stronger coffee. I had a woman hand back a cafe vanilla Frappuccino, with 6 pumps white mocha, 4 cinnamon dolce, made with eggnog because it tasted “like straight espresso” so... yeah
