One of our old shifts/SMs was tired of people accidentally taking them home that they attached the box cutters to our store room shelves with plastic springy things

Nope, we don’t.
“Safety hazard” says our manager (apparently there was some freak mini accident that idk the details of but yeah)
Also, every partner in our store doesn’t really NEED to have one on us cuz only certain people (shifts/our manager) unpack boxes
