I don’t actually know the answer, but according to CDC $1:

> Employers should not require sick employees to provide a COVID-19 test result or a healthcare provider’s note to validate their illness, qualify for sick leave, or to return to work. Healthcare provider offices and medical facilities may be extremely busy and not able to provide such documentation in a timely manner.

Thank you, I don’t know if they follow the same policy but this helps.

I don’t either, but my assumption would be if your roommate doesn’t have something for you to show them, an email or a care packet with their name on it or anything really, they can’t ask them to go back to get a note.

No they can’t it’s against policy to ask for medical information

That’s not what I’m asking? I’m asking if my SM can ask for proof that my roommate is sick.
