It should be standard to shake without ice, strain foam, fill to top line and add ice!! Perfect consistency every time

Not really, the matcha doesn’t really dissolve without ice to agitate during shaking. Whenever I have a no ice MGTL, I always end up with milk and matcha “flecks.”

use a cold foam pitcher instead of shaking it!
humiddefy 6 points 2y ago
I hate making cold foam and the matcha is hard to wash out of the pitcher

Blend it on which number?

yoooo i got in trouble for doing this once. the reasoning was because then we would be “that” starbucks to customers, which to me sounded like they didn’t want us to make better drinks than other stores.

wait that’s actually genius
SpotloeM 3 points 2y ago
i just put a dome lid on it and overflow the cup, usually if customers see i attempt to get them all their liquid they'll be happy
curlygirlcam 2 points 2y ago
Slightly over fill the milk, shake it without ice and use the lid to catch the foam ;)

Straining stuff with the shaker lid always causes me to get the drink everywhere...I will not strain unless they tell me to specifically.

I remember when I was a Barista shaking up the matcha didn't exist yet lol. We just put the scoops on top and mixed it with a big spoon. I thought it was better that way.

I blend mine in the cold foam pitcher and kind of pulse it by pressing 3 a couple times so it doesnt turn into cold foam and then add ice into the cup after! Makes a perfect matcha latte

I always just blend it in the cold foam pitcher on 3 for a couple a seconds and ice after. Its way faster!
