I wish all food products put a place on them to mark dates, I hate the "how old is this ranch dressing" game

I’m in a household with myself a former barista, and my partner, a server for many years who now runs activities at an independent living center. EVERYTHING is sharpies or sticky noted with dates. At least of opening. You think you remember when you made something...until it’s a week later and your like “wait, when was the made, what is this?” I can’t even look in other people fridges anymore, is this hummus 2 weeks old or been here since last year? TELL ME

I did that with mine too, way before working for Starbucks. It’s so helpful in knowing which tub is open
