Thankful for my shift lead (self.starbucksbaristas)

I want everybody in the god damn world to know what an amazing shift I have. I came in for my 8-1:15, started feeling sick around 9:30, finally just threw up at 11. She immediately knew something was up, asked me what I needed, if I needed to go home or to sit down, if I needed any aspirin, and she's just overall such an amazing blessing to have at my store. She took time to redeploy, to come into the back and comfort me, making sure my ride was on the way and just checking on me. She is such a caring, understanding individual while my GM just told me I couldn't come back for a full 24 hours due to mild Covid symptoms. My shift is the absolute best, defends us against customers, listens and asks about what we think our shifts could improve on for their meetings, and is basically a mom to us even though she's only got about 4 years on us at most. She's transferring to become an ASM and I'm so fucking proud of her for getting this far when our GM just seems to keep pushing her down, but she always has a smile on her face, greets the partners every single day with positive energy, and always makes sure we have what we need to have a good shift. Bless your soul, Erin!!

YES we had a shift like this at my store. she was just a general blessing. i was with a friend when we popped the tire once and no one we knew was available, so i just shot out a message in our store group chat and within minutes she was there helping us change a tire. we need more of this energy in the world. and i miss her every single day since she moved for her big girl job.

I love seeing messages like this. It really pushes me to be the best shift I can be for my baristas.
