Target locations & modifiers (self.starbucksbaristas)

Anyone else having issues on the new target POS update? Not being able to ring in water/charge for fruit that they add. The biggest one for me is with espresso shots. We get people that come in every day and get shots add white mocha. But the system doesnt allow us to modify shots. What do I do? We are losing so much money in modifiers.

Unfortunately there's no way to add modifiers to espresso shots we've had to just stop charging for the syrup on those. The water + inclusion/matcha though should be rung up as a custom tea under the hot teas button. It's a lot more expensive and makes people angry but that's what a past update told us to do so 🤷

I believe you have to charge them for a “custom tea, no water, add inclusions”. You can’t just charge them for inclusions alone and obviously water is free so I’m 99% sure that’s how you’re supposed to do it! Also we have regulars that come and get shots with modifiers, under the “Espresso” tab there should be a button at the top of the screen that also says “Espresso”. If you select that, then you can pick how many shots they’re getting, and you can modifiers. Although I am a corporate store so I’m not sure if it’s a different system/screen for you guys!

Target POS is completely different, pre and post system update. Not sure about the espresso modifier issue but we don’t have a custom tea button, afaik.

What really bothers me about our system is birthday drinks don’t involve any scanning, we just have to zero out the price. It essentially leaves the birthday drink reward unused.

Oof.... I’m sorry. I’ve got no idea then. That doesn’t sound very fun to deal with!
