I’m still a greenish bean but I accepted my job with the intent to transfer in the future due to my long commute. how long is it appropriate for me to be at my store before requesting a transfer?

Waiting until after the holidays would be good. After you’ve passed your three month probationary period will also be a bonus.

i was asked to cover at other stores after only working for maybe 3 weeks. i’ve done it several times but idk if that’s just cause they were desperate aha

Last time I checked your needed to pass your probationary period, as well as have your managers permission, to pick up shifts at other stores.

hey,i have been working here for 2 months now- i have been scheduled another training prolly cuz im not good enough at the bar. Is it bad? Should i feel like im not doing enough. I feel so dumbb!!

Nope, it’s totally normal to get refresher trainings as you move from position to position. We don’t have enough time to really train new hires so it’s common to partner you with someone else to fill in your knowledge gaps.

Sorry eggs I meant was you need to be employed for 6 months, apparently the transfer process itself is quick

Iwas told 4 months in when i put in a transfer request no, they stated its a 6 month wait before transfering

I plan to transfer in about 6 months. Should I ask my manager about it now then?
