As much as I hate how much freedom Starbucks gives their customers to order crap like this, the part that actually annoys me the most is the order the mods print in. Hoooooow hasn't Starbucks fixed this yet!? It makes everything so much harder when you have to keep checking the cup. Like why isn't blonde up with the double shot. And why is the frap roast at the bottom!?

Hi not a Starbucks barista but I work in food. What it comes down to is software being designed cheep and efficiently. This is an issue notorious throught the industry. From bartabs to catering cafeterias to Chick-fil-A and Starbucks. For whatever reason this software is never organized by people who have experience using it

The last partner survey I answered I addressed this exact thing. The order that we would normally see them is the way they should come out on the sticker.

If anything it would out the store not the barista (for mobile orders anyway) but in all seriousness as an ex barista I sincerely hope at least one caring person at corporate reads through these posts because shit like this is not acceptable (the order itself and the formatting of the ticket) to baristas when they are placed mid rush or when shit like this is part of the BOGO Thursday.

No whip does not need to be first. Tell me they want 9 pumps frap and blonde shots first, bc that's what goes in the cup first. Sequencing can't work if the instructions aren't in order

But yeah it should be the shots (need to prep), blonde, frap roast, (possibly affogato next or before blonde if sequencing allows it), coconut milk, no mocha, 10 pumps white mocha, 9 frap chips, ex drizzle x2, no whip
If I was making this chances are the affogato shot wouldn’t be blonde (unless it was slow) because because they only pull in doubles from what I remember. Maybe I am confused though because it’s been a bit and every shot I ordered was blonde ristrettos and it might be the ristretto I’m thinking of for only pulling doubles.
Side note, I would commonly order a double ristretto blonde dirty iced chai (light ice or no ice and ex chai if no ice). If you have down time at your store give this a shot as it’s pretty good but you will also see that if there haven’t been changes that the ticket doesn’t exist. Pretty sure it comes out as a double (maybe ristretto) iced chai. Blonde dirty chais don’t exist to the ticket systems. And people wonder why drinks get fucked up. The ticket system has way too many problems.

Ristretto only pulls in doubles. Affogotto is slow shots and frustrating when busy bc of the S word.

It’s actually apart of the orientation that every partner goes thru (aside from those that are working for target Starbucks, and airports) were not allowed to post recipes or share stuff like it on social media.. it should be in the partner handbook.

i once had this regular who mobile ordered a Venti Iced Americano... no water... no ice... 28 ristretto shots. Yes, it fit inside the cup. Yes, she used her rewards on it every. single. time. This was before the stars overhaul and she doesn’t do it anymore but it took a good 5-8 minutes to pull them all.

My main issue, besides all the mods, is the people who order these things. I feel like, at least personally, they know the terrible thing they’re ordering and are too cowardly to do it in person. Fucking cowards.
