Questions about your stores bathroom (self.starbucksbaristas)

I’m trying to convince my SM to let us have an employees only restroom at our store, so if you could respond for data purposes, I would appreciate it. I hate that I have to do this, but they so far have said it’s an unreasonable request. Thanks in advance!

I want an employee only bathroom all time, not just during pandemic times. I am sick of having to wait for people to change their baby’s diaper or shoot up drugs in there while I’m on my break and have 10 minutes to go.

This is why at my store I make it clear that you can always take a restroom break on my shifts. Get someone to step in for you -- hell, I'LL step in for you -- but we are not in 3rd grade and we do not need permission to take care of basic bodily functions.
This rule also stands for "I need a sip of water real fast" or "crap I need a bandaid" or even "my mom has called three times in five minutes; I think it's an emergency"

Not to mention people who don’t lock the door (my coworker is guilty of this, someone walked in on her the other day lol) or people who can’t read the little in use thing and repeatedly jiggle the door handle and pull on the door as if it’s stuck. I’d love to have an employee only bathroom. We switched back to no public bathroom because of the pandemic yesterday and it’s beautiful, but yeah
