That's it, that's the thread. I know it's a shot in the fucking dark and my old store is overstaffed even if my (former) manager wants me back there's only so much she can do, and everyone is trying to stay afloat in this pandemic, but fuck, I hope I get the job back (or I get accepted to a different store).

It must just be the area you are in bc I am transferring to a store across the country and they told me they are are always looking for transfers. I was also told by my SM that transfers are usually welcomed with open arms. Are you living in a place with super high covid cases?

Honestly? I don't know how my city is doing case-wise compared to anywhere else. Without giving away where I am, we were doing actually good until we reopened in the summer, and I fear that we're on track to pay the price with the winter coming in. But my perception is also warped because I traveled overseas to my other country that had cases in single digits (I'm a dual citizen), so coming back to the US now everything just seems awful in comparison to that.
I also don't think I qualify as a transfer, I'd just be a returning partner :(
