ASU minor (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by FernWolff
Hi everyone! I’m new to college as a whole, so I might be confusing this whole process so please be patient with me lol
In January I’ll be starting the ASU pathway to admissions course, and once I’ve completed those classes I intent to major in Biological Sciences- Conservation Biology and Ecology. I would also like to minor in Anthropology, Geography, or Urban Planning(undecided), but considering that minoring would mean an additional 18+ credits, I’m unsure if Starbucks would also cover those classes? Has anyone minored along with their major through Starbucks? I can’t seem to find info on it anywhere. I plan on talking to a counselor and seeing if maybe some of the classes I can take for my major I can also put towards a minor in one of these areas, but I’m wondering if the classes I have to take that strictly work towards a minor would be covered cost wise by starbucks. Any insight is greatly appreciated!

It does!! Your entire degree will be 120 credits, that is what you will need to graduate. About 60 of those (it really depends on your major) will be for your core major classes. The rest will be gen ed classes and electives! Instead of taking a bunch of electives though you can choose to do a minor to fill those credits you need. Starbucks will pay up to 135 credits. I hope this makes sense! If not let me know and I’ll try to explain it better. Also ps I’m an anthro major and I love it, I highly recommend that as a minor!
