hi!! i got hired around 4 months ago now and so far it’s been going great for me :)
first month was literal hell, i felt like a nuisance the entire time and went home everyday wanting to quit. now my shifts are such vibes and i’m loving it hehe.
i called the store after i applied and had a super lengthy (casual) conversation with my manager which made her want to interview me.
my interview itself was pretty short since we talked a lot on the phone about pretty much everything, and she already made up her mind about hiring me because we both used to work at tims lmao. so my previous experience helped a lot.
interviews usually include questions about your previous experience if you have any, your availability is a big thing, why do you want to work there, and so on. i scrolled though interview questions on glassdoor the night before my interview and it helped me feel more confident as i knew what to expect so i recommend you do that!
it was pretty simple for me, it really depends on who the manager is tbh.
there were recent changes made to accommodate with my city being in the red zone which has made me feel a lot more comfortable working with a pandemic going on, again it really depends on your store and city.

Ive worked alot of food service and retail jobs before. Id rate starbucks an 8.5/10. Its a fun, mindless job that can allow you to see people, earn a decent wage, and has good benefits. They also seem to care about hourly employees!
My main tip for the interview is to act like you are speaking to an old mentor. Be friendly, and give exaples without being promt to! Sell yourself, thats what you are there to do is it not?
Also as far a dress goes the best is a navy blue or black button down, slacks or nice blue jeans, and a good leather shoe or boot. Since thats the dress code.
