J is allowed to ask you remake a drink if they don’t believe that it’s been made by standard.
J is **not** allowed to cuss at you while on the floor.

Talk to your manager. It's amazing to know standards but he isn't following the mission and values (ie treating everyone with dignity and respect) and at starbucks you have to do both. It's not good enough to just be good a making drinks, you have to be the full package. Your manager should have a coaching conversation with them, and if it continues it can be a documented write up for not following mission and values

Exactly. He only treats customers with respect but you’re supposed to be treating your coworkers with respect too. We are a team and consistently pointing out mistakes while embarrassing someone so you can look good is not okay.

Where the hell is your SSV in this scenario?!
If any of my partners yelled "we don't make shitty drinks here" on the floor, they would be in the back with me so fast you'd think we'd teleported. "What's your thought process saying something like that?" "Do you think that's an acceptable way to speak to your team?" "Explain to me how you see behavior like that fitting with our values here?" "Yelling at anyone is completely unacceptable. I understand you might be frustrated that X is struggling, but you do not get to curse at people for any reason. Find a more constructive way to respond and do not ever do this again."
If he did it again on the same shift after that conversation he'd be going home (if I could find coverage or do without him, or possibly even if I couldn't depending on what was said). I don't need that attitude on my team and I won't pay someone to behave that way toward coworkers.

you should talk to him first and tell him that you don't like when he does things like that because it makes things really uncomfortable then you should take it to the manager if he doesn't change.

Thank you!

what kind of lunatic would say something like that

Yea we had to watch a video not too long ago about bullying in the workplace. So this is appropriate timing wise to have a convo with your manager.
