I’m a ssv in Canada and there’s a debate going on at our store right, if you’re warming up a pastry do you put it into one of the brown pastry bags or one of the warming ones? I haven’t been able to find anything about it on the hub
As far as I know every store I’ve worked at has always put pastries of any kind in the brown bags and the warming bags are only for sandwiches/ paninis. I think it’s because pastries are just slightly warmed and not hot enough to need the thicker bags.

This is my fourth store I’ve worked at but all my other ones in the past always used the warming ones for anything that got warmed 😅

I’ve worked at 7 over 4+ years and we’ve never used the white bags for warmed pastries unless we ran out of pastry bags.

But maybe it’s a Canada thing 🤷🏽♀️

Warming bags are for - sandwiches and bagels with cream cheese

If it lives outside of a refrigerator before they buy it, it goes in a brown bag. Oatmeal bags can be used for muffins as it’s the only bag that won’t crush them. Panini bags can be used for grilled cheese & ham and cheese croissants.

Considering that loaves and cookies always leave our oven really hot, i put them in the warming bags lol and anything else for safety's sake
