it’s easy to feel frustrated but you have to remember your SSV’s point of view.
it’s their job to run the store as efficiently as possible- meaning put people where their strengths are to keep service fast and efficient.
unfortunately, at two months in, of course you’re going to be slow at bar. that’s just a fact, everyone is. even if you had lots of practice now- it would take you another couple months to become fast.
ask to be on bar during slow times. if you work mornings, before 9am- if you work nights, after 4. or whenever it seems slow.
or mention to your manager/an SSV you’re closest to that you’d like more bar time. my SSVs will leave notes for each other, “try to give hailey bar practice today!”

Don’t feel dumb! The job is so much harder than it looks. Honestly, I’ve been practicing on bar for two years now and I’m still slower than a few coworkers. And it took me FOREVER to learn it. You’re not dumb, our training is just very difficult.
And you may feel like you’re going fast, but it can be a huge deal if you’re slow during any sort of rush. Customers and partners get very antsy. Enjoy any time you have on bar and understand that you’ll speed up and they’ll toss you on more. Good luck!! I hope you enjoy the job as much as I do :)
