A Venti in two tall cups (self.starbucksbaristas)

Are we aloud split drinks like this? There’s a lot of confusion in my store because some people think we can while others disagree. Where on the hub can I find this?

No. You pay for one drink, you receive one drink.
As for the policy on the Hub, I don’t know where to find that on the limited Partner Hub from home, but on the Starbucks Rewards Terms and Conditions, the 150 star reward is listed as:
> 150 Stars may be redeemed for one (1) of the following items: any handcrafted beverage (such as a latte or Frappuccino® blended beverage)... All beverages must be standard menu-sized items.
Which is the same idea. When you order a drink, you receive one drink in a standard menu-size. There is no standard for how you are supposed to split one venti into two talls, therefore it’s not allowed. That’s also why we can’t put Frappuccinos / espresso drinks into Trentas. We have no standard for it, therefore we’re not allowed to do it.

Well said. It also does not account for labor or accuracy. If I allow one person to split 1 venti frap into 2 talls, what’s stopping them from ordering 3 ventis and wanting 6 talls? It’s a waste of our time and resources and all around just causes inconveniences and inconsistencies.
That being said, if a customer really really wants it, the best I can do is hand them the empty tall cups and let them figure it out

Thank you for this! Some people at my store won’t do it and others just say “make the moment right” so I never know what to do. And as a shift, all the new people look at me for a yes or no and it’s hard because I don’t know the policy

We have a partner that likes to order Frappuccinos in a trenta cup. It bothers me because she knows better.

What about a no ice 7 shot wcm and a extra venti cup of ice and make them do it themselves? (This is what I use my reward drinks for)
