If you never get on bar, how are you going to get better at being on bar?

this was the same way i was too! in my experience my shift leaders put me where i was confident during busy hours and let me play around on bar when it was not so busy. if you get placed on bar and you’re not confident, tell your shift!!! they should arrange for you to have some support so you can make things properly. after a little while you’ll have it down. :)

you should probably talk to your manager about this, and ask to be put on bar during less busy times so can you learn how to be efficient.

This. My shifts all found out I was very hesitant to be on bar so when were dead they’d put me on bar. I sucked at first but got better. Now I need very little help and it’s usually just figuring out garnishes.
