It will go by faster than you think, especially if you’re busy. Just take your time, ask a lot of questions: good luck!

Lucky. Only shifts at my store get 8 hour days. Leaving for another job that will actually give 40 hours

1. try your best not to get stressed out. if it’s busy, take a deep breath, remember it’s just coffee, and you don’t have to be going full speed all the time. it’s okay to slow down when you need to.

2. if you can, bring a water bottle and healthy snacks. staying hydrated is better than caffeine. and healthy snacks will give you the energy you need. plus, if it’s busy, you won’t have to wait in line for food.

3. sit down on your breaks. you need to rest your feet/legs. otherwise you’ll be sore!

4. if you feel yourself getting burnt out and would like to switch positions, ask your supervisor if you’d be able to swap to another spot. it’s sometimes easy for them to move people around, so you could move from front till to drive thru, or customer support, etc.

5. this is just personal opinion, but if you’re offered a chance to do tasks like cleaning bathrooms, garbages, etc.. take them!! it’s such a nice break from the hustle and bustle.

it won’t last as long as you think.. your next break will always be coming up soon.

Keep a good attitude and have fun with it, chat with you r customers and your co workers and ask lots of questions if you struggle at all. It will go by so much faster than you think especially if you keep busy in some way.
