Dress code question (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by babbalabbam
Hey all!

Do you think black/white plaid pants and houndstooth pants would fit the dress code? thanks!

I thought red is allowed on Fridays, but I know it's really dependent on the SM/Shift team. I personally couldn't care less what people are wearing so long as it's not those ridiculously large shirts that the sleeves cover their hands which can pose a health code risk

My SM is allowing us to wear red right now so long as it's a Christmas sweater or somesuch.

Yea it depends on store for sure. But it also depends on who you are I guess too. People at my store are allowed to wear red and pink hoodies and the manager doesn’t care but when I wear plaid slackes it’s the end of the world for some reason. I already talked to my manager about it. She says we’ll start working on dress code when other problems are taken care of first.

Dress code says

> All pants, shorts and skirts in a solid color.

However, I’ve had coworkers who have worn them and it hasn’t been an issue, so you’ll ultimately have to ask your manager.

I wear houndstooth and a tiny dot (white on black) bcs to me they both read as a neutral and color wise are lookbook approved and my sm doesn't mind. But others are strict on solid bottoms

According to the dress code white is only allowed on shirts but I know people who have worn red hoodies to work so I would ask your SM
