I’m honestly surprised how many people have asked if they can do an eggnog latte without dairy. I have to assume a bunch of them think it’s a flavor syrup and not actual eggnog.

I haven’t had anyone ask for it non-dairy yet, but the Karen’s ALWAYS ask for me to make it a nonfat eggnog latte.. like it’s cut with nonfat already, but eggnog is eggnog.

omg i’ve had people ask “can i get the eggnog latte w/(non-dairy) milk instead?” and i ask “would you like it to be half eggnog half(said milk)?” and they’re always confused and say “oh, um no actually just do it with just eggnog” like i really don’t think people understand what it is

Yeah I think they think it’s a syrup? I just tell people it’s premade/regular eggnog and unfortunately I don’t have anyway to change that.

my gf’s sister is lactose intolerant and apparently she’s been ordering eggnog frappuccinos made with almond milk at the starbucks in her town, and they’ve been charging her each time for the almond milk. i told her that it still has dairy in it and she said they’d never told her, just kept charging her and giving her dairy.

I’ve had multiple people order eggnog lattes with coconut milk. I’ve asked and they’ve said that they know it has dairy but they still want it anyways as half eggnog half coconut. But i’ve also had people not understand that eggnog has dairy. While I agree we should specify, some people really do just want stupid things.

I’d assume they’re mixing it with almond milk instead of nonfat, but they still should have warned her it has dairy too

To be fair, starbucks baristas arent really responsible for making sure sure we get the customer’s diets right. The customers should be responsible

Maybe they think Starbucks stocks an almond based eggnog? But more likely they just don’t understand what the ingredients in eggnog are.

I usually take this to mean they want uncut eggnog.

Hot steamed eggnog, eggnog, with a shot of eggnog

Had a couple of people ask for light eggnog in the eggnog latte. When I ask about what they will expect the rest of the empty cup to be filled with, they reply "With the milk, obviously". Oh, my sweet summer child.
