Correct. You still can’t pull ristretto as a single shot, unless you just use half of the two shots. Just making the point how people are stupid.

This is off topic but how does 1/3 or 2/3 decaf work on something without 3 shots? There’s an option in the POS but it always concerned me...

If I’m not mistaken the mastrenas have a double and quad shot option for 1/2 decaf. For example if you were to to get a grande quad caramel macchiato and you asked 1/3 decaf I would pull a double of 1/2 decaf and do two more regular shots. I don’t think those measurements are exactly correct but its the closest you would get to 1/3 decaf.

Every time I see a post like this I wonder what the hell the management is doing at your stores that your baristas on drive/pos feel like they have to ring up any crazy thing a customer demands. Seriously, I’m a shift and I promise you’re allowed to tell people no, and if I heard someone trying to order that that’s exactly what I’d expect my drivethru partner to do. It’s okay to be assertive and tell the customer that no, we will not be blending a flat white, but if she wants a blended drink we can build a Frappuccino for her. The fact that I see these posts so often tells me y’all have some really terrible shift supervisors, and I’m sorry about that-Part of the point of having a shift is to have someone who is empowered to stand up for their baristas when customers are being ridiculous like this, and if customers are bullying you into doing things you don’t have to your shift is failing you

Bro no one said they were being bullied. If that’s what the customer wants..... that’s what they’re paying for. As a shift I shouldn’t try to stop this, maybe clarify and make sure that’s what the person actually wants, but there’s no need to stop it
