Story time: Busy yet steady flow at the cafe. Then a lot of mobile orders and delivery came. It was our fault for not checking if we got enough coffee to brew. Three customers came in and I informed them that we were brewing a fresh batch of coffee and asked if they were willing to wait. All of them said yes. As soon as the coffee is ready and I was helping out to make them, the dude demands to know why does he have to wait so long for his coffee. I informed him that I am already pouring his coffee and it will be ready at the bar. He kept on spouting that he is very busy and does not like to wait for his coffee. The partner poured a little steamed cream on his drink, because we knew he likes his drink as hot as the sun. He complained that that is not what he ordered and decided to just keep on complaining. The partner apologized and informed him that she’ll make a new one for him. As soon as she placed his correct drink towards him, he opened it and poured it all on the counter then left.

I was told that I would not serve him if and when he gets back. Who knows, there’s a possibility that the could have thrown that drink at one of us if there was no other people around.

The throwing is what I would be worried about even though what he did is bad enough as it is. In my time at the bucks there were multiple partners who had hot as the sun drinks thrown at them and had to go to / should have gone to the hospital.

Yeah, anyone even sort of associated with management should immediately call the cops and work with the partner involved to press charges for assault.

Today, lady orders in cafe waits for a little (not that long for a cafe order during rush IMHO) and complains. Her drinks are next in line (we just get sooooo many mobile orders). I'm on drive bar and I start making one of them so they get done faster. I'm just about to put the whip on her granddaughter's Toasted WHC when she demands a refund. By the time I finish giving her a refund, all but one of her drinks are done. She leaves, we give a nice person in the cafe the drinks she walked out on. SMH

If you don't have time and see a line of people standing and waiting, don't stop.
If you put in a mobile order and the same time limitation applies, set your alarm earlier. Your time management issues are no one else's problem.

Yup. I work a mall location and I had to solo bar both bars with a line out the door, and also keep a newbie on Register above water (the two other people scheduled, which were shifts, were obviously burnt out so one of them bailed and the other decided to hide in the back in spray dishes.. for like.. an hour.. there were like 5 dishes)
Anyways, I'm trying to solo bar these Karen and Kayleighs crazy TikTok drinks, of which like each person ordered at least 3 coffees/fraps a person (and with a line out the door, that's at least 30+ drinks)
Try to solo bar 30+ drinks, with new orders rolling in to replace the last ones, then mobiles roll in from mall workers, OR people who decided to walk into the store, see the line, place the mobile order, then demand why they have to wait half an hour for coffee
Finally get to this one customer that had a caramel frappuccino, and they were so pissed that they had to wait for their drink (had made their two kids, like two 5 year olds, their Venti Caramel Crunch Frapps), that they threw the drink against the wall and told me they'd never return to our Starbucks.
Now normally, people may have filed a report, but I was so overwhelming slammed with drinks and also trying to tell the Green Bean not to cry, that they got this and I'm there for them (they couldn't find Apple Spice on the kiosk).. I felt like quiting..
Oh, this was like 6 days ago too, but for some reason my SM and DM dont understand why people are getting burnt out or quiting

The same here. It was freshly brewed coffee and a bit of cream..so probably around 195°F and 205°F (90 °C-96 °C)
