10% Pay Raise Entitlement for are-Hire? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by ManagerBOBODY
Hey everyone. Back in October , I quit working for Starbucks due to COVID issues, management , mental health deterioration and much more. I used to love working at Starbucks but it started taking a toll on me. Flash forward to now and the job i have just isn’t cutting it. Starbucks was more flexible, pay was decent and my opening shifts gave me the rest of the day, recently i re-applied and reached out to my former SM about rehiring and they said they’d love to have me back. My first question , to my fellow current baristas, is it worth it ? I feel i just needed break from everything and that I’m ready to go. Also, am i entitled to getting that 10% raise, even after being rehired ? That’s a motivating factor for me to be rehired among other reasons. i want to ask but am hoping it’s not a no.

Sorry for the long paragraph. i have no one else to rant to starbucks problems about besides coworkers haha. Thank you in advance !

Apparently new partners base pay has also increased, so a lot of us getting this 10% increase who have been here for a year or more, will now be making the same as the new partners that we are in fact training

You won’t be entitled to the 10% raise, you’ll get whatever the current starting pay for a barista is. When you left the company, you lost all of your benefits, including your pay rate.
