Eh...it isn’t the best. But it’s not the worst it’s at least a job. As far as your health, people don’t report symptoms and cover up cases often. Be very careful about the store you apply to.

i wouldn’t recommend it. our procedures at my canadian store:
- plexi glass in front of the till, and between the bars where partners are in close proximity. however, partners have to go past the plexi to get different syrups so it renders that one useless.
- mandatory masks for all partners and customers inside the store. masks are not required in drive thru, even though we’re close to the customer.
- a tray is used to hand out drinks to customers in drive thru to limit contact. however, we accept dirty cash straight from their hands.
- partners are required to wash their hands every 30 minutes on the floor. however, the timer is usually ignored because people forget, can’t be bothered, or do not have time.
- partners are required to take their temperature, and complete a “covid quiz” before every shift to ensure they’re healthy. however, most partners skip the quiz and just sign off on it.
i haven’t personally had experiences like this, but many people on this subreddit have said that they were in contact with a partner with covid but were not informed, still told to work, told to come in when sick, etc. it’s very dependant on the store itself though because my manager is good with keeping us home when sick.
EDIT: oh, and we have one bathroom open to the public that i have personally had to clean. being SSV you likely could make someone else do it, but who knows what germs are in there.
