A regular of ours was waiting patiently in the cafe for her drink when a family of five walk in, 2 of them (the adults) had masks and they had 3 teenageish boys with them who were unmasked.
They order their frappuccino’s and start combing through our merch display, making sure to touch every cup and trinket. They then crowded the pick up counter and our regular had to move away to keep the distance.
Don’t ask me why our SM (who took their order) didn’t mention masking at all to them.
The regular got visibly upset when the family finally left and we asked her if she was okay.
She said, “Honestly, no, I’m furious at them for being so selfish and risking everybody’s lives when I have had to watch two of my family members die from Covid. My brother and my mother are both gone now, because of people like this. Shame on them.”
I think she was holding back tears too, but man, it just really got to me today...

I'm so sorry, for you and that customer. This is exactly how I feel, and again a store I'm transferring into, the partners are just entitled and literally wont wear masks. They dont know I'm trans (I hide it at work) and they all kept making horrible remarks about LGTBQ.. it just.. it's why I hide it, but it's so frustrating that I cant go to anyone about it without losing my job 😔😔
I want to cry.. like Starbucks employees as entitled as those anti masker a$$holes, and I bet if their families or loved ones died from covid, they'd pin it on politics and not on their own selfishness and ignorance

Isn’t it company policy for all sbux employees to wear masks? You could anonymously call the ethics & compliance hotline on them. I’d recommend it.

Customers can also call I’m pretty sure, and it’s impossible to trace
Or you could go to ur DM or someone else above your SM and ask them to randomly pop in at the store & see for themself. Either way I’d really do something about this, and you have options

So sorry that happened to you, sorry to the customer who lost her family. I definitely agree with her, people are so damn entitled and selfish.
