So me and several co workers are wanting to report our manager, she is very disrespectful about our privacy and she talks behind everybody’s back. She will call and say we’re not doing good enough and take her anger out on us. She used my dead dog saying she was so nice about it to put herself on a pedestal as a “great manager” and is overall very non professional. The one thing we’re concerned about is it not being anonymous because we don’t want to feel like we’re being watched at work and Like we can’t be comfortable at our own job, that being said, would it be anonymous if we reported her and her behavior?

Not necessarily anonymous as there will probably be an investigation so it will be known someone at the store reported it. It won’t directly be linked to those who reported but a person can probably narrow it down. That being said there is a strict no retaliation clause that would protect you.

She’s very vengeful feeling, she’s called a minor partners parents talking about her work life to her mother but she doesn’t know if that could have gotten her beaten or worse. She doesn’t know that partners home life and doing that could have put her in danger. She has used common human decency like giving me two days off after having to put my childhood dog down to put her on a pedestal as being an amazing manager. I got sick and was told to come in but when I took the covid coach and was told to self isolate she yelled at me for coming in when a SV told me to come in. Called me a liar etc.

Honestly, myself and a couple of partners reported our last manager. Unfortunately she didn't get fired, but lucky for us we got a different SM. If you and your partners agree that your SM is being disrespectful about privacy and exhibiting inapropriate work behavior, y'all can submit a complaint to the DM/Corporate. If you got alibi's you wont have to worry bout getting canned or getting in trouble. That being said I hope you guys can come up with a possible solution as my story was just what we did.

While you can request to remain anonymous whenever you make a complaint, sometimes the details of the complaint will reveal who you are. And while retaliation is prohibit on paper, in practice once a manager knows you made a complaint they could look for a convenient excuse to do something.

This happened at my store, multiple times but since our manager had been around for 20 years they didn’t give 2 shits about us. The girl that reported her got fired.
