Different levels of ethics here, depending on what you're comfortable with. Unlike something like /r/ChurningCanada where you're maximizing rewards from banks, trying to do it to your employer could have bigger consequences if you push it.
- obviously, buy everything with your card! I see so many partners pay in cash. Don't! Reload the exact amount to your card at least, please!
- apparently, and I can't confirm this but it seems logical, you quality for star dashes with marked out drinks as long as you pay for *something*. Sign up for the emails and when it's whatever, buy a latte and get 70 stars, you could partner bev a latte and pay for a cheese stick or whatever and it'll count.
- I learned this by mistake, and have never intentionally taken advantage of it, but for the spend $x get y stars, if you make a purchase above $x and then void it, you keep the promotional starts (but not the regular ones, of course).
- double star day works for us too! It becomes 6 stars/dollar.

if you’re eligible, consider signing up for the starbucks rewards visa credit card. you get points for every dollar you spend anywhere. and if you spend 500$ in the first three months, you get 4500 stars to your account (~32 drinks i believe). helps build your credit too
