Isolating entire store? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by ---ugh---
has anyone had to isolate their entire store before? i’m at a busy DT store (50k a week), and due to another isolation I had a partner break block scheduling & pick up shifts, and now that partner is awaiting results for a covid test that will likely come back positive. they’ve worked with the entire shift team & sm, so we would have to possibly shut down??? has anyone had to do this for the whole store?

They shut our entire store down early on for a month then we came back to 7 of us running the store 8am-2 for two months

About two weeks ago my store had to close after a shift tested positive after working with many partners and all the other shifts (including myself). We just opened back up two days ago after all but 2 of our staff got a negative test result. We were lucky and able to open up earlier than we thought because so many of us tested negative. Starbucks pays catastrophe pay though for up to two isolation periods. So if your store shuts down, the hours you’re scheduled for over the next few weeks will be the hours you’re paid for. Starbucks will only cover our isolation twice though so if y’all have to shut down too many times, you won’t get paid for it so it’s best to be as cautious as possible. Hopefully this helps give you a better idea of what would happen if your store has to close! Stay safe!

We had to shut our store down for two weeks because someone worked with almost every other partner.
