SSV Resumé (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by throwaway1209340987
I’m a tenured SSV and trying to come up with hard skills from my time at Sbux to put on a resumé. So far the only thing I can really come up with is bookkeeping (tracking sales, money management/cash handling, etc.).

Other Sbux SSVs (current or not): what did you put on your resumé?

"Suggested and implemented improvements to work flow" aka sometimes I move the lids around.

Creative problem solving, keeping calm in high pressure situations, coordinating with outside resources to achieve store goals (aka calling facilities to fix your sink so you can stay open), managing a team including improving morale and coaching partners to follow standards, store ordering and inventory management, cash management including reaching sales goals, paring tills, creating and finalize deposits, ensuring health and safety compliance.

If you are applying for a specific position, look at their job description and see what experiences they're looking for that you have - and don't lie of course, but give yourself a little extra credit. Also look up a job listing for SSV and see how Starbucks worded your job. Put it in your own words, but I guarantee what they wrote sounds better than "Kept the store from catching on fire while managing not to cry in front of customers."

Depending on the job, inventory handling experience looks really good!
