I 17f) am currently sitting in the bathroom on my break crying. I’m completely done with this company and the entitlement and rudeness of customers. I burned most of my hand today spilling burning hot water all over my hand. Still barring after that burn. After my past year and a half here I have never wanted to quit more and yet I’m forced to be here as my only path to college. Let’s hope I make it through.

Starbucks is so Classist, the customers who are lucky to be able to afford to go are so entitled and think they’re better. Hang in there, get that degree!

I'm so sorry, it's truly not easy sometimes. Get that degree, take as many classes that you can, a mix of hard and easy classes each term.
I'm also only as Starbucks for the college. I'm running through these classes as fast a possible (accounting major).
The customers can be pretty terrible. :( But getting that degree and being able to peace out with a lot more pay will be worth it.
If you have a way to unwind at the end of the day, please do so. Even if it's headspace or watching a YouTube video.

If your shift supervisors and SM are not protecting you from customers who violate the third place policies, call ethics and compliance.

Unfortunately we have to just deal with rude customers. Their tone of voice or rude attitudes aren’t enough to say anything. It just kinda breaks me down. Especially since I’ve been on drive through for the majority of my time here. It’s just tiring that’s all.

Please get your shift supervisor or manager to help you file an injury report. If everything turns out fine, you'll never need it, no harm done, but if you have any complications from your burn, you need the injury report to file a claim.

I don't care if you think you need it or not, do it! If it was a bad enough burn for you to think you shouldn't be put back on bar, it's bad enough to report.

Please take advantage of the college classes. I agree with you highly. The job really sucks, but you'll have a better life once you are done and won't have to deal with the rudeness. You got a lot of partners here to help get you through it. There is nothing wrong with ranting. We understand what it's like. Hang in there 🤙🏼
