Therapy. The one good thing about being a partner(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by fvckjvckie
Returning partner and my boss mentioned we get free therapy as a benefit of being a partner. But I’m not sure how to go through the process of finding/signing up for all that. Anyone have the info or a link that could help please.

It's through Lyra, and if I'm not mistaken you just sign up thru the website. I will say: my Lyra person spent 15 minutes of my first session stressing it is NOT therapy, it's coaching, and let me with 15 minutes of me coming up with what I think my next move should be. It was very much a letdown when I was hoping for talk therapy to get me out of my head. But I've heard from folks here they had a better experience.

That’s... not what Lyra is and I’m sorry that happened to you, lol. I’ve been seeing the same therapist through Lyra since, I don’t know, summer sometime? And it’s absolutely legitimately therapy. She and I have great rapport.

I'm happy for you! That is frustrating, tho, bcs they is definitely what i was seeking at the time. Not sure if it's worth trying now.

You know, if anything, I’d say COVID actually made getting with a good therapist easier in my case — because everyone’s doing tele-therapy! As a result I’ve gotten to keep my same therapist despite moving to a new city over 1,000 miles away. I figure it doesn’t hurt to give it a try?

I am currently "seeing" a therapist through Lyra & it has been the best therapy experience thus far in my life. I don't remember the precise details of the process of signing up but do recall it being fairly simple to navigate. I reached out to one person who may have been a social worker & she respectfully suggested I find someone else. (Too kooky for her 😅) Someone from Lyra reached out to me & I found a new therapist within that week. Prior to Lyra I used our EAPs [edit, correction] & I was meeting with a social worker who was fine & kind & helpful. But through lyra, again, have found a doctor that I really connect with. Best of luck in the process! I highly recommend it. Take your time.

I'm sorry if that wasn't helpful at all, entirely anecdotal & more a response to previous comment. * Try this link $1 *
