I just started two weeks ago & I’ve only opened once... 😭 can anybody tell me what to do for opening shift because I know it’s clean the espresso machines, you make your teas, make your iced coffee, brew your coffee (Pike’s, etc) but my mind goes blank after that.

They clean them at night but my manager makes us clean it in the morning too with the little white pods thingies

standard is to run tablets through the mastrena three times a day. morning, mid and night. whether you do the morning tablets at open, or after morning rush, that’s up to your store.

Which mastrenas do you have? Because the IIs are once a day. It just locks you out after 24 hours. That sounds like the old mastrena schedule.

The mastrena 1s are old gray and clunky and non touch screen. The new ones are orange, sleek, three espresso slots on top amd touch screen. Much more modern. My store is getting them soon and im v excited lol!

Pastry case, rtd and fridges, date dot EVERYTHING, just generally prepping for the day (making sure everything is stocked and keeping up with it for peak). Don't forget ice! You'll get into the swing of it :)

On our end typically one of the baristas does what you listed + bring the ice, and the other places the pastries and the sandwiches from the back to the floor. Then someone has to fill the sanitize too
