A grande rant(?)!(We’re out of venti cups😅) (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by TheReal1Days
Apparently someone tested positive that worked with quiet a few people on some time this week(wasn’t told the day). Did we close so the store can be sanitized?? Nope! We found out like almost last minute on Friday that we were gonna be short staffed and then he sends us a message that he changed our weekend schedule.

He asked me to open on Sunday, I said that’s fine. He then says that for Saturday and Sunday I’m doing opening till 12:45. I told him no. I can do that shift on Sunday but not Saturday. He tells me that many partners are self isolating including himself and that he needs me to work those hours.

I don’t mean to sound like an asshole but I don’t care. Plans were made with family that I couldn’t/wouldn’t reschedule. If so many of are self isolating then maybe we should open later/cut our business hours until we get everyone back.

Also!!! Fuck you!! Someone tested positive and you don’t wanna close to store to get it sanitized?! Why?? Cause we need to make money??? The fuckin bullshit in here is real.

I feel like I wanna go off more but at this point I’m probably just rambling lol

The bullshit is rampant throughout all stores. My SM told me we don't shut down the store to sanitize unless a partner had symptoms while working.

A partner LEFT WORK EARLY AND ENDED UP TESTING POSITIVE FOR COVID. But I guess that doesn't qualify as having symptoms while working.

Also, our mid and closing shifts were quarantined so we literally were open for 5 hours in the morning because they didn't want to close the store.
