Yeah, that’s fair.

Why the worst? Just rude or what? I’m a customer and I always make sure I’m nice, tip and always fill out the surveys they email me, especially for the stores I frequent. I’m generally going through the drive though, so I don’t witness the other customers.

No, you are the ideal customer. :) I would think they are talking about people who wait in a 30 minute line and expect their drink immediately and complain about everything under the sun. I had a lot of those customers today....but the good customers more than make up for the bad ones in my experience. Unfortunately busy days like today prevent us from being able to take our time and really connect with people in a positive way. Also emotions are really high after Christmas when you work in the service industry and don’t get to enjoy time with family like everyone else. I think everyone is testy today. Not to mention that pesky pandemic going on lol.

If I were in the store and heard a customer treating one of the employees like that, I would definitely say something. I really can’t believe people sometimes. I’ve always had very friendly and good experiences at Starbucks, that’s why I continue to go there, rather than one of the local coffee shops. Thank you !

I wanna clarify that not *every* customer is the worst, it's just the bad ones are reeeaaallly really bad.

As someone else mentioned, you sound like an awesome customer/human being in general, and we definitely appreciate you!

I’m sorry for the assholes, that sucks. More people need to call out the rude people when they see it.

As a barista there are so many nice customers as yourself but every service job has those mean and angry customers that’s no matter what happens they are mad and short tempered. We highly appreciate you and all the nice customers out there, it’s just the few that leave a bad impression. But the nice ones leave a great lasting impression that at least for me is why I continue to work at Starbucks ❤️

I think it’s SO UNFORTUNATE that human nature makes you forget the nicest customers who put their time into being pleasant against all odds. The ones who tip a lot at holidays, the ones who don’t complain if something is wrong (even though the baristas would bend over backward to make it right for you, but you don’t want to “be a bother”) because you make the “flow” work well and enjoyable. The pain in the asses are who you remember because it’s creates a whole mental block that interrupts your flow, so it seems like it takes the majority of the time. All SBUX partners make mistakes, I still remember a time 8 years ago I gave an americano with 4 extra shots to a lady who NEEDED THEM DECAF or she said she would die. I rang it in wrong but confirmed with the bar guy they were decaf because he had a headset on and asked if he had heard they needed to be decaf and he said yeah he got it. I marked it decaf with a marker, she asked me AGAIN if they were decaf because the label didn’t say it even though I’d marked it. I basically swore on my life it was. She drove off, and the next drink I got from the bar partner he said “he’s your drink that’s all decaf”..... I wanted...to...die... now I killed this lady maybe and this new drink had to be remade because it was decaf not normal. Too be fair both were iced americanos with extra shots. Also if your afraid of heart conditions don’t go to SBUX and ask for 8 shots of decaf, there’s still caffeine in there. Your life shouldn’t be in our hands.

agreed

Yeah, they’re bad, but I worked at Walt Disney World for 6 years. WDW guests make the worst SBux customers I’ve had look like saints.

Literally I had the same thought yesterday

I’m a Starbucks customer and I can verify that I am, in fact, the worst

Why are people so quick to downvote? This was obviously a joking comment!
Zero-2-Sixty 5 points 2y ago
A lot of people might have seen my post right after getting out of work..
clumsycalico 3 points 2y ago
I’m super curious why you say that, just because usually the bad customers have absolutely no self awareness, and the ones that say they’re bad just want light ice and extra strawberries or something lol. The other day I had a girl start her order by saying “this is going to be so complicated, I’m so sorry, I feel so bad” and it was literally just a custom latte lol
Zero-2-Sixty 5 points 2y ago
I said it as a joke! I go to the same Starbucks by my house so often, they know me by name. I’m super simple, it’s either gonna be a Iced Peach Green Tea or an iced coffee black. I’ve never complained once, even the couple times my drink was off.
Fit_Willingness1229 3 points 2y ago
lightly customized drinks aren’t a big deal anyway! like? you want light ice and some random juices thrown in ur tea? sure. takes 3 more seconds. as long as they’re nice about it it’s not a biggie.

Based on the downvotes, I’m guessing some people struggled to see the humor in your comment. I’d recommend adding the /s to your posts to indicate sarcasm, for those who really think a Karen is just gonna out herself like that.
Zero-2-Sixty 1 points 2y ago
I’ll do that haha. I’m a supervisor at T-Mobile and I know customers can just ruin your day. So if someone had a bad day at work, and downvoting my comment made them feel a little vindicated and feel better, I can take it!
