lil rant. still feeling anxious and like I want to cry again even though this happened this morning.
I made a tea for a woman with a little milk and I guess I put too much in. a half hour later, I’m walking to the front without my apron and hat so I can order something to drink on my ten, and this woman is walking back in. she beelines right to me and shows me the inside of the cup, saying “I said a little milk. does THIS look like a LITTLE milk to you?”
I was taken aback but I gestured to the till and said “I’m sorry, someone who’s working right now can take care of that for you.” and I don’t know how to explain the tone she used to say “YOU made it.” other than with the word GROWLED like she was so aggressive omg,,
I just went back to our break room to wait for her to leave and my coworker told me that she asked him why I couldn’t help her. he said “well she’s on her break.” and this woman says,
“what, just because she’s on her break, she can’t help a customer??”
and my coworker says
“yes.”
he did what he could to make her happy but he was almost as upset as me about it, lmao. have y’all ever been accosted on your break? or had it be demanded that Specifically You deal with a mistake you made?

Wasn't at Starbucks, but I was managing a Taco Bell night shift once. This nice girl, can't remember her name for the life of me, got *screamed* at by this 6'2 guy, *demanding* that *she,* in particular, fix his, "fucking taco." Apparently by "regular taco" he wanted a meat and cheese taco, which is what we refer to as "man child dinner." I could barely hear the confrontation, but I saw her sprinting to the back just bawling her eyes out. She was just doing her job, like everybody else, and apparently that was just not good enough. I hope that guy choked on his soda.

Not unless you make a scene about it. To some people, "regular" means whatever they're used to. My mom once made a scene in Wendy's because she ordered a "plain" hamburger, which came with ketchup, pickles, mustard. I still think about that poor girl at the counter getting bitched out because my mom didn't understand the menu. If you don't make a scene, you have my respect.

Never. I just deal with it and eat it when it gets messed up. I just really don’t like Taco Bell’s lettuce. Just found it interesting that there was a name for people that get tacos with just meat and cheese. Also interesting about your plain story. Everywhere I’ve been a plain cheeseburger is just cheese and meat, including Wendy’s.
