speak up for yourself. you get an eye roll? straight up tell them "yeah I know its annoying but it also annoys me that people don't have the patience to teach me"
straight up make things uncomfortable and I bet you they'll treat you differently because it seems like they got too comfortable with you and don't care that they're being rude. call it out as soon as it happens.

For real though, I have before, but then my manager literally pulled my in the back and went off on me for 2 minutes how they're afraid they made a mistake of hiring me if that's the way I act.. I mean I managed to somehow get out of the situation and he apologized, but its like.. they get away with it? Such a double standard

That doesn’t surprise me my friend I am very sorry. I’m in the same boat. I’m trapped. My store is beyond toxic and every day is a nightmare. I can’t quit until I’m done with school because of the ASU stuff. No way they will let me transfer as a shift.

Honestly however I would go talk to a manager and if not a district manager start documenting things on your phone in notes with dates so you have paper trails of incidents to report on

I’m so sorry your fellow partners have that kind of attitude. Stand up for yourself. If they get an attitude with you because you don’t know how to do something, say something along the lines of, “I know, I’m sorry for making you actually do your job instead of sitting on your ass in the back while making one person do the work of five people, but seeing as I’m new and didn’t get trained on how to do these things, either show me how to do it, or I can explain to the SM/DM why they didn’t get done. And then YOU can explain why you decided to make me do all the opening tasks while you sat on your ass playing on your phone.”

Wish I could, but considering they are shifts, are usually best friends to a shift, my store manager would ream me, if not write me up/fire me. I'd have to go to my district, but that would be such a fick you that I couldn't stay there

I'm sorry that you're in that kind of environment friend. I have a different perspective because the stores Ive worked at are usually supportive, but I'm empethetic to your situation. My advice is to keep asking for a transfer and tell them how convenient it would be to work somewhere else. I had to transfer because of transportation, but you can choose whatever reason you like. If they still don't help you then ask the boss's boss to help you. I really hope that they don't keep denying you help. All the best.

there are some people in my store that are like that unfortunately. start putting your foot down, don’t let the bullying continue, contact HR and let them know of the situation that you’re facing. speak to your store manager + district manager, if they don’t give a shit, go to your regional manager, contact HR (PCC + Ethics line) again. Remember this: you teach people how to treat you, stop apologizing it’s not your fault. I’m sorry you’re going through this, it’s not supposed to be this way. I hope you can transfer out of there, transition to a better job/space, and get some peace in your life. Be safe and good luck!
