Hello guys. I’m considering working at Starbucks but I’m not sure, what is it like to work there? I like coffee and I have an espresso machine at home that I love. I know a lot about coffee and I feel like I would have fun there.
Do you have any tips for me when applying or for my interview?

it’s very fast paced, probably not the best job if you can’t handle pressure or get really easily stressed. if you’ve worked a food service job before starbucks is pretty similar. obv coffee is a huge part of starbucks so liking coffee and knowing a lot about it is good. it’s a fun job and the perks are amazing (free drinks hello)
interview wise just be yourself. try and be super customer servicey and know your strengths when working with difficult customers (bc there are a lot). it’s really similar to any other job interview but with more questions about your strengths and weaknesses in specific situations. there’s a whole bunch of samples if you google it

If you can work fast paced while being rushed and not get anxiety attacks ur good. Bonus points if you can keep a smile while a customer yells at you.

I was hired a month ago as a SSV and so far I really like it. I ran my first shift today and I feel the training is quite good. There is a lot to learn but as long as you just keep trying it will go well. I see a lot of people complaining about Starbucks not caring about partners, but as someone a bit older with a bit of experience in the world, Starbucks is way ahead of any other large company in taking care of us. Again I’m pretty new, but this is my perspective so far.
