Trent a rant (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Delfiretrial
Hi there. 263 here and I’ve been trying to get a transfer since October of 2020 and I was just recently diagnosed with COVID 19. I wanted to leave due to the harassment and open bullying at my store (ex. Being openly called a slut and white by my shift supervisor) and my voice is just now being heard due to my diagnosis.

My store manager has just told me that I’ll be getting transferred to a new store but didn’t tell me when or where. She also said that there will be an investigation done for my issues with this specific shift but I’ve heard no info about that either. When I’ve tried calling her to help/get information about it I just get her voicemail.

I’m about to call my DM or HR to get some guidance. Any other baristas/shifts/SM’s advice please?????

We had something similar happen at my store but it was more internal issues with partners creating a toxic work place. We were going to bring it up to the DM about getting certain partners transferred and I think that’s what you should do too. In addition to getting in contact with HR and getting the investigation processing. I’m sorry that you’ve had to experience bullying at your store, you never should’ve had to deal with that.

If you are able to do this, having specific instances and when they happened is helpful. Just a heads up. The more specific you can be with what happened and when, the more credible you are and the more they can possibly do, I think.
