Anyone else have questions about this? (self.starbucksbaristas)

So recently my store has had a lot of at-home training (understandably, because COVID) and we’ve all completed it - paid, I believe. However now our store manager is having several baristas re-complete this training in store, on our off hours, unpaid. Is this.. common? Just wondering for peace of mind’s sake. This has become a point of frustration among my co-workers recently as it has happened more and more frequently and I was wondering if anyone else also had this frustration.

If your manager is asking you to be in the store and work off the clock, you need to call and report them to Ethics & Compliance.

Absolutely no! You work at all..even training. You get paid. Definitely call you DM.

Yep, that’s what we’ve been talking about. The other baristas aren’t wanting to report so it’ll probably have to be me. One of my shifts has had this problem for years and DM hasn’t done anything with the complaints. 🤷‍♀️

Definitely call Ethics and Compliance! Time worked should equal time paid!

wtf no you are just doing unpaid labor. Also why are you redoing it? Makes no sense
