7 weeks pregnant, morning sickness is kicking my ass. Had a few miscarriages and want to take the next few weeks easy to ensure as healthy a pregnancy as possible. Anyone know if taking a medical loa will pay me or is it unpaid?

In the US, Medical LOAs go hand in hand with Short Term Disability, so I would assume there’s some financial support for you guys as well.
Go on the Partner Hub and search “Benefits Plan Description”. There is a US version so there should be CA version. If your documents are anything like ours, that’s where you should be able to find information about LOAs and benefits and all that good stuff.

Doctors note is easiest way. Its essentially ensures your medical LoA and also Medical EI.
Edit: you will need the medical leave of absence forms WHEN YOU GO TO DOCTORS as theres forms on it that need to be filled out.
