First clean play (self.starbucksbaristas)

I’ve been at the bux for almost 5 months, but I have my very first clean play coming up tomorrow night. What should I expect?

I finished mine a half hour ago.

It depends in the store, the people working up to and at closing, and the amount of business going on in that time.

We finished on time because we had some strong partners with enough time to work on closing tasks ahead of time. We’re one of the only stores in the area not closed due to Covid, so it’s not usually as fast.

Generally, we have three people splitting up various tasks:

One of us focuses on the floors and dusting.

Another other takes care of dishes from closing and drains/misc tasks (including the ice machine every couple of weeks).

The third person does any remaining closing tasks along with misc tasks like vacuuming the back of the short coolers and wiping down the otherwise untouched spots behind things.

Once the list is finished, or the most important parts are done by 11:45, it’s time to go.

But, it could be different in your store.

Feel free to put on the music you like if no-one objects to it. Make sure to hydrate, and look forward to expired pastries that you’d have had to buy before 9.

Yes because the atmosphere in most professional kitchens is toxic for someone living with Asperger’s Syndrome...
