Advice for Shift Interview (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Megannmcgraw
Hi! I have been a partner for 6 months and i have an interview for shift manager on Monday! Any advice on questions i might have to answer, or questions i should be asking? I have ideas but i’m just getting nervous thinking about it! Thanks! ☕️❤️

Don’t do it, not worth the pay increase with all the added things and stress they put on partners. Trust me

Biggest mistake ever. You get used to it eventually but it's like a year of hell for a $2 pay increase

it's better to have supervisor on your resume than barista

When I had mine I had a lot of questions about how I coach people and a bunch of examples, if they ask you any coaching questions try not to have too many answers about drink training 😅, bad on my part lol. On another note though I was assured by other people before I had my interview that regardless of how it goes you’ll get the job 😊

If you're serious about being a shift, really think about why you want to be a shift because you will be asked. Is it for the pay? Do you care about developing new partners? Do you feel like you'll be good at it? Do you want to develop skills? Think about it carefully
