Has this happened to anyone before? Turn the sound on. This went on for more than 20 min. Even after the machine was powered off.(v.redd.it)

Yeah you need to call it in. IIRC, it’s like a loose water line or something like that. You need a tech to fix it.

This hasn’t happened to us but one time a maintenance guy told us he was shocked out espresso machines hadn’t exploded, so maybe it’s a pressure issue.

Ours was waaaay less dramatic, but back in the day when I was working for Safeway starbucks ours did this. Steam coming out the inside and the tray, started with a loud pop and the hissed for a while and smelled like burning plastic. It’s been too long for me to remember what it was but our badass repair guy fixed it up surprisingly fast. Hopefully yours isn’t worse with it being that loud and for so long?! Keep us updated! :p

Will do. Everything you described happened. I was really scared. I thought it was going to explode. Hopefully we’ll get a new machine. That machine had been called in way too many times.

Yeaaah, the poor old 1 models break down a lot more for sure. Yeah I don’t blame you that’s terrifying.
