Did anybody have a bad experience starting at Starbucks?

I won’t say bad but I was poorly trained beginning with my first day officially on the floor because my hours had gotten cut for no reason even tho I had open availability. And I feel like we have a thing at my store where only if green beans come in damn near every day that’s when they’ll be trusted to practice on bar and get bar time... :3 so guess who never made a drink for like 3 months

The girl that was training me literally flipped out crying my first day on the the floor and then again on the second day😬 edit because other than that my time with Starbucks has been really good

I just finished training a week ago and I’ve been on DTO/DTR & today I was put to make drinks and my co-worker was like if you can’t really multitask this job isn’t for you like I just started and I don’t want to mess the drinks up LOL 🙃

Your coworker sounds like a jerk😅 don’t worry too much, it usually takes around 3 months to be good

Thank you:) Do you have any advice on how I can master my bar skills faster?

Really practice makes perfect so be on bar as much as you can! But I highly suggest finding a coffee master or a partner that’s extremely strong on bar and watch how they sequence. And always ask them questions!

I started in September and I have to say I have had the best experience with my co workers and managers/shifts. Which is so nice to have
