I would agree with you. We no longer have a single riser between our bars, but vanilla and caramel are always next to each other, cinnamon dolce usually after, with sfv and sfcd above the vanilla and caramel. Everything else never really mattered too much.

My store is set up the way he says it but honestly he should just deal with it, ya'll are in the majority in your store and its easier for him to relearn muscle memory than all of you.

I miss working in a store where people actually paid attention to where they put the syrups. At my current store, they get put back in a different order every time so it's impossible to build muscle memory.

I like to have vanilla and caramel together since they're the most used at my store but sometimes when another barista is on bar they might change things up. It was really wrong for him to yell at you but also if youre the one on bar you can just change it to what you prefer while youre there. if hes on bar and youre telling him how to put syrups when youre not making the drinks then I kinda understand him getting frustrated /:
