Hi, Starbabies! 😂I guess I need some advice? Maybe this is just a rant? I don’t know. I’m a new hire and within the past 3 weeks of being there I’ve realized that it’s the best job I’ve ever had. Amazing. I LOVE my team! However, my situation is a little unique? I was hired by a fill in manager, but started the week our official manager came back from leave. She was a little out of the loop you could say? Well, she’s also SO sweet and supportive. It’s just the fact that my training was messed up due to so many holiday new hires, and I haven’t been trained on either bars. 😕 Not only that, my manager won’t help me set up my scheduling app no matter how many times I ask. I don’t know if she keep forgetting or if she’s genuinely not worried about it? I just don’t want it to come back on me, ya know? Back to the bar thing...I’m so so so eager to learn how to be the best barista I can be! I try and observe all I can and by observing I can confidently make a pink drink. 😂 It’s something!! I’ve brought it up to a shift manager I’ve become comfortable with and They want to help me, but it’s always hard because nights are short staffed and I’m really good at solo DTO so sometimes the time just isn’t there. I don’t know. I just don’t always want to be stuck on customer support or DT, I want to be able to help my team where hands are needed and not be saying “Ummm... I don’t know?” I’m frustrated. Advice? I don’t know?
