new strain that is crazy contagious, big whoop. if you're in texas, there's a likely chance you're already arguing with anti-maskers and regulars who are comfortable telling you they feel sick. closing down seating is not going to be enough this time around. do you think sb is going to do anything to increase the worker's safety or are we just gonna have to accept the fact we will all catch it at one point or another??

SB gives 0 shits, well in my store at least ): , my partners worked with someone who tested positive and my manager gave them the option to test for COVID or just to quarantine and come back after the 10 days that CDC advises since it’s not contagious no more. But the thing is you could still test positive after the 10 days because at my previous employer, one of my co-workers tested positive for COVID for two months straight, I honestly wish we had stricter policies with COVID and closing the cafe and only letting drive-thru and mobile.... I guess we just have to accept the fact that we will catch it at one point or another, at my store half the people are out and I think the SM is also out and the shifts have been leading

We're now seeing several posts every day on r/starbucks about about what to do now that a partner has tested positive. So if anything it will force us to be better about enforcing mask rules, and managers won't be able to ignore safety, probably have to stop letting partners work in other stores. Maybe a more robust check in. But that's just a my guess because these are things starbucks can do that don't cost any money.
