there’s an old lady at my store who does something similar; a trenta passion iced tea that’s half tea and half classic (like literally asks us to take off the pump and pour half 🤢) with no ice. she usually downs it in her car then comes back for a refill.

I've heard (although it's entirely unverified) that people trying to get through a day sober with a crack addiction often consume massive amounts of sugar to sort of compensate.
The person who told me this worked in construction and said that's how how could tell the questionable day laborors from fairly normal ones.

Homeless population may be stocking up, not using all of the sugar at once. Sugar is one of those things that's better to have in individual packets and in small amounts. So are you required to add sugar like at Dunkin Donuts, or are you just handing them sugar packets?

both but one man gets 40 packets a day on the side along with his drinks. he doesn’t need that much everyday so he’s probably eating a bunch of it daily

Yeah. I forget how much sugar is in an individual packet, but it is definitely less than a teaspoon- if I unabashedly put as much sugar in my coffee when i'm out as I do in my kitchen, it starts looking like i'm hand-making confetti. So 40 packets might not be much actual sugar, just enough to make tea or coffee a couple of times back at his camp.

We used to have a guy every morning when we opened order a venti matcha green tea latte with 30 scoops of matcha, even the computer/ printer didn’t mark the 30 ( and yes we tripled checked if he wanted 30, his response: I like it strong )
Yet he also got other tall steamed cups of milk so I think he just split the 30 matcha drink into those.
Which could b what’s happening here but then again ppl b crazy💀😭
There’s also a regular who gets a venti green teal lemonade 16 classic pumps with. 16 liquid cane pumps, and she’ll still taste it in front of us to see if she can taste the lemonade 💀 like ma’am plss
