Oh I’m sure it tastes amazing and they are super pretty to make. But when you work in a insanely busy store like me, having a bunch of those pop up really slows down my bar pace.

I feel you I feel you. I work in a super busy store too, but I’m a fairly new partner so I haven’t been on bar during a real rush hour yet. That’s why they never really bothered me but I can see it being annoying during a rush for sure

I’ve been doing this for 15 years and it’s extremely insulting to our job to have teenagers showing us videos on how to make some wild shit we don’t have on the menu. It might be good but I wouldn’t know because I’m too busy drowning in obnoxiously modified drinks to try it.

Been hearing of tik tok drinks that's been going around that tells you to blend different pastries into the frappucino. Please tell a customer no you can't do that. If they ask why, just reply with cuz pastries were meant to be eaten not drank. To the barista's who are doing this on tik tok, stop.

It’s actually a serious health code violation to be adding allergens contained in pastries into a blender used to make beverages for people who don’t know something like that would be in there. We also don’t have a license to alter food in any way other than to toast it or cut it.

actually, steamed peach w/ almond milk, vanilla/cinnamon dolce, and vscf is pretty good... our store loves it. we named it peach cobbler drink lol

This one used to be on the menu. Idk how long ago, but it was called the cotton candy Frappuccino back when the raspberry syrup had an artificial color making it pink.

I had some ask if they could just play a video into the drive thru speaker. I just asked if it was a white mocha with sweet cream cold foam and extra caramel drizzle. Surprise, it was. I understand wanting to try new things but maybe watch the video and learn the drink? Luckily they were super polite so it made up for it.

We absolutely do not acknowledge anything that isn’t on OUR menu. When they order something by a wild name we tell them they need a recipe and that’s that. They also have some idea it’s going to come out looking like it does in the video and it’s so unfair to us. We have people so angry over this shit if the cup isn’t decorated with drizzles and powders the way the picture looks and other stupid methods we don’t naturally use. It’s so ridiculous and I’m sick of it.

Yeah exactly. When someone orders something with a weird name I just deadpan them and go “what’s that” and make them tell me all the ingredients. We are not expected to keep up to date on the latest tik tok recipes.

The tiktok drink temporarily fell out of popularity at my location during January. Suddenly, this month, everyone, for some reason, is replacing whipped cream with cold foam on EVERY DRINK. "Can I get that frappuccino with sweet cream cold foam instead of whip?" "Add sweet cream cold foam on that white mocha." A pink drink with cold foam mixed with matcha please." "No whip, sweet cream cold foam on the hot mocha, please." Like WTF is going on with this sweet cream cold foam trend?! It has gone too far! There's not much whipped cream being used anymore! It's all just vanilla sweet cream cold foam now!

We are literally taking turns having mental break downs at my store and my manager is a shell of a person. We can hardly function we are so short staffed and exhausted and the last thing we need is more complications. Your comment is so dick, please don’t.

It’s not entitled and rude to complain (amongst ourselves! Not even to the customers!) when people order unnecessarily complicated concoctions that are not on the menu, mostly just so they can post it on tik tok. It makes our job a lot harder especially when we’re already slammed with orders to have to make something we’ve never even heard of let alone learned to make. Orders like that are not tolerated at any other fast food place for a reason. Yes it’s good that we make things customizable, but sometimes people take advantage of that and it’s kind of obnoxious.
